My verification was rejected
Why BVN, NIN or CAC checks fail, and how to get a blocked verification reset.
Last updated June 1, 2026
Verification can fail for a few specific reasons. Here's how to fix each one.
Why it happens
- BVN not matching: usually the name or date of birth you typed doesn't exactly match your bank records. Open Settings, then Verification, then Re-check and confirm your spelling.
- NIN blocked: three failed NIN attempts in a row trigger an automatic block to prevent fraud.
- CAC rejected: an unclear or unreadable document. Make sure the certificate number, business name and date are legible.
Get a block reset
- Email support@boldswitch.ng from your registered email.
- Include your registered phone number.
- Attach a clear photo or PDF of the relevant ID slip or certificate.
We review and either reset the block or tell you exactly what to correct, usually within 24 working hours.
Tip: Clear, legible scans approve fastest. Check that names, numbers and dates are all readable before you upload.
