A payout failed or is delayed

Why an outgoing transfer might fail or sit pending, and what to do about it.

Last updated June 1, 2026

If a payout to a bank fails or is taking longer than expected, work through these checks.

Common reasons

  • Insufficient balance: make sure your wallet covers the amount plus the transfer fee.
  • Wrong recipient details: an incorrect account number or bank is the most common cause of a failed payout.
  • 2FA not completed: transfers above your 2FA threshold need a second factor. Complete the biometric or OTP prompt.
  • Bank-side delay: the receiving bank can take longer to credit, especially during outages.

What to do

  1. Confirm the recipient's account number and bank are exactly right.
  2. Check the transaction status in your activity feed, a failed payout reverses to your wallet.
  3. If it's still pending after a reasonable wait and your details are correct, contact us.

Tip: A reversed payout returns to your wallet automatically. You don't lose the money, you just re-send it with the corrected details.
