How to verify your identity (KYC)

Verifying your identity (KYC) confirms who you are so we can keep your account secure and unlock higher limits and more features.

What you'll need

• Your email address
• Your Bank Verification Number (BVN)
• A well-lit space for a selfie (liveness check)
• Your residential address
• A valid government ID — NIN, National ID or driver's license

Steps

1. Open the Boldswitch app and go to Profile then Verification.
2. Confirm your email if you haven't already.
3. Enter your BVN so we can match your bank details.
4. Take a selfie and follow the on-screen prompts for the liveness check.
5. Add your residential address.
6. Upload your ID document and submit.

The verification screen shows a progress tracker so you can always see which steps are done and which remain.

After you submit

Most checks complete quickly, though some may take a little longer to review. You'll get a notification when each step is approved.

Tip: Complete every step to reach Tier 1. It raises your everyday limits and unlocks more of the app.
