Verification tiers determine your account limits and which features you can use. The more you verify, the more you unlock.
Tier 0 — unverified
Before you verify, your account is at Tier 0 and you can't transact. Complete verification to start moving money.
Tier 1 — basic
Completing email, BVN, selfie, address and your ID document brings you to Tier 1. This:
- Raises your everyday limits (balance, deposits, transfers and daily debits)
- Unlocks core wallet features for NGN and USD
Tier 2 — enhanced
Tier 2 is needed for US banking features. It typically requires:
- A US ID document
- A US address
- Income verification
Reaching Tier 2:
- Unlocks US banking features such as adding money from a US bank via ACH
- Raises your limits further
Limits by tier
| Limit | Tier 1 | Tier 2 |
|---|---|---|
| Max wallet balance | ₦200,000 | Unlimited |
| Max single deposit | ₦200,000 | ₦50,000,000 |
| Max single transfer | ₦20,000 | ₦1,000,000 |
| Max daily debit | ₦50,000 | ₦5,000,000 |
Tier 0 (unverified) cannot transact until verification is complete.
Where to check your tier
Open Profile then Verification. The progress tracker shows your current tier and what's left to complete the next one.
Tip: Higher tiers raise your max balance, max single deposit, max single transfer and max daily debit.
