Manage biometrics

Turn Face ID or fingerprint sign-in on or off, with your PIN as the fallback.

Last updated June 1, 2026

Biometrics let you sign in and approve actions with your face or fingerprint instead of typing your PIN.

Turn biometrics on

  1. Open Settings, then Security.
  2. Toggle on Face ID or Fingerprint.
  3. Confirm with your device biometric.

Your PIN stays as the fallback whenever biometrics can't be read.

Turn biometrics off

Toggle the same setting off in Settings, then Security. You'll then sign in and approve with your PIN.

Good to know

  • Biometrics are handled by your device. Boldswitch never sees or stores your face or fingerprint data.
  • If you get a new phone, you'll set biometrics up again after signing in and re-verifying.

Tip: Keep biometrics on for speed, but make sure your PIN is still strong, it's the fallback that protects everything.
