Organising collections with sub-accounts
Use dedicated account numbers to reconcile by branch, campaign, or product without guesswork.
Last updated June 1, 2026
Sub-accounts turn one balance into many clearly labelled streams, so you always know where money came from.
Common ways to organise
- By branch or outlet — one sub-account per location to compare performance.
- By campaign or event — a fresh number for each promotion so totals are exact.
- By product or service line — separate numbers to see what sells.
- By customer or contract — a dedicated number makes large recurring transfers easy to match.
How it helps
- Each sub-account collects under its own number.
- Inflows are tagged to the right stream automatically.
- Reconciliation becomes a matter of reading per-account totals, not chasing references.
Tip: Name sub-accounts consistently, such as Lagos Branch or June Promo, so reports stay readable as you add more.
