If a transfer fails or is delayed
What to do when a transfer does not arrive on time.
Last updated June 1, 2026
Most transfers complete in seconds, but bank network issues can occasionally cause a delay.
First steps
- Open your transaction history and check the status of the transfer.
- If it shows Pending, wait a short while. Bank transfers can take a little longer during peak times.
- If it shows Failed, the amount is normally returned to your balance automatically.
If money left your balance but did not arrive
- Confirm the recipient details on the transaction were correct.
- Allow time for the recipient's bank to process the credit.
- If it has not resolved, contact support with the transaction reference.
Tip: Keep the transaction reference handy. It helps support trace the payment faster.
Email support@boldswitch.ng with the reference and details. For getting recipient details right before you send, see Send to a Nigerian bank account.
