Verification usually fails for a small, fixable reason. Here's how to put it right.
Common reasons
- Name or date of birth doesn't exactly match your BVN or NIMC records.
- A typo in your BVN or NIN.
- A document photo is blurry, cropped, or unreadable.
- Out-of-date BVN data held by your bank.
NIN blocked after repeated attempts
If a NIN check fails three times in a row, it's temporarily blocked to prevent fraud. To reset it, email support@boldswitch.ng from your registered email with your phone number and a clear photo of your NIN slip. We review and reset within 24 working hours.
Fix a mismatch yourself
- Open Settings, then Verification.
- Tap Re-check.
- Confirm your spelling against your bank and ID records.
- Resubmit.
If your BVN still won't match, your bank may be holding outdated data. Contact them to refresh it.
Tip: For document rejections, re-upload a clear PDF where every number, name and date is legible.
What's next
- Re-run identity: Complete owner KYC.
- Re-upload business docs: Submit your business documents.
