A payout failed or is delayed
What to check when a transfer doesn't arrive, and how reversals work.
Last updated June 1, 2026
Most delayed transfers complete or reverse on their own within minutes. Here is how to handle a payout that hasn't arrived.
Check these first
- Open the transaction in your activity feed and read its status.
- Confirm the recipient's bank and account number are correct.
- Check your balance covered the amount plus the fee.
- Give it a few minutes; bank rails can lag briefly at busy times.
If it failed
- A failed bank transfer reverses to your Boldswitch balance automatically, usually within minutes.
- If money left your balance but the recipient insists it hasn't arrived after a while, contact support with the transaction reference.
- A transfer sent to a wrong but valid bank account must be recalled by you from that institution; Boldswitch cannot recover funds held by a third party.
Tip: Use confirmed account names and saved beneficiaries to avoid sending to the wrong account in the first place.
To save trusted recipients, see save beneficiaries (/business/payouts-transfers/save-beneficiaries). For how charges apply, see transfer fees (/business/payouts-transfers/transfer-fees).
Still stuck? Email support@boldswitch.ng with the transaction reference.
